POVERTY - ENVIRONMENT CONFERENCE
In addressing poverty-environment issues
in relation (particularly) to sub-Saharan
Africa - and in the context of further
necessary applied policy research -
we would wish to note here the issues of
reform of international financial, monetary
and economic institutions, and debt reform
and management - as constituting economico-
financial factors of sufficient magnitude,
in relation to (constraints on) development
processes - as to warrant inclusion in
ongoing work on poverty and environment.
The Von Hugel Institute, University of
Cambridge, has interests in the areas noted,
in the context of poverty, environment,
and related issues.
We look forward to outcomes and initiatives
arising from the Conference.
Thank you for the opportunity to participate.
