Appendix 2: List of participants and resource persons

AALBERSBERG, Bill (South Pacific) Mr. Aalbersberg is Director of the South Pacific Action Committee on Human Ecology and the Environment (SPACHEE) based in Suva, Fiji. He has participated in workshops leading to the creation of a regional SDN which is based in Fiji, but will serve 22 Pacific Island countries and territories. SPACHEE will be a national focal point in the regional South Pacific SDN. Dr. Aalbersberg is a Reader in Chemistry at the University of the South Pacific, where he has worked for the last ten years. His work includes research on environmental pollution and the possible role of chemicals from traditional plants in promoting biodiversity. Dr. William G.L.
